The risk mitigation measures put in place by the Italian Government to deal with the SARS - Cov - 2 Pandemic are having serious social and economic repercussions, especially for the most fragile subjects of our communities. Many children and young people, with their families, find themselves in a new and unexpected situation, and are often completely unprepared to face it.

CONTEXT
THE COVID-19 EMERGENCY AND ITS EFFECTS ON EDUCATION

The schools, starting from February 24, have equipped themselves to guarantee students the continuation of teaching through online platforms, but students are not always able to follow the lessons. Inability to access the network, learning difficulties, limited parental support are the main problems.

TARGET
ENSURE FAIR ACCESS TO DISTANCE LEARNING

The project wants to guarantee support to the most vulnerable students of the city of Moncalieri and their families, enabling them to regularly access online lessons, to be supported in the distance learning processes and to guarantee a support desk for their needs.

HOW WE ACT
DIGITAL INSTRUMENTS
AND SUPPORT
FOR
THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED

The project provides the IT tools to access lessons and teaching materials made available by the school, thus avoiding exclusion from the school community. It intends to guarantee study support with after-school programs, to facilitate learning mechanisms and a distance listening space for families, students and teachers.

RESULTS
MORE SCHOOL INCLUSION DURING
COVID-19 EMERGENCY

The project provides 30 students with soft and hard tools to access the network; 300 students receive learning support; a network of 80 parents provides assistance for students in difficulty and families with migrant backgrounds have access to a remote intercultural mediation service. 50 students, parents, teachers and ATA staff receive psychological support.
