VISION STATEMENT

We envision a world of peace in which all children and adolescents are assured of water, food, health, education, playing time, affection and protection. A world where children and adolescents are loved and respected in their family and community, a world where youth is empowered to become active participants in shaping their harmonious growth.

MISSION

We work hard at improving the living conditions of needy or abandoned children and adolescents by encouraging them to develop their own identity and by ensuring a family and a harmonious growth; moreover, we promote the culture of children’s rights as set out in the United Nations convention.

Cifa carries out the following activities:

COOPERATION IN DEVELOPMENT

Cifa fights children’s abandon and promotes their rights by implementing international cooperation projects; Cifa’s local partners are fully involved in the realization of these projects. We foster the improvement of living conditions of children and adolescents by meeting their basic needs such as water, food, health care, education and protection.

INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION

Through international adoption we guarantee a family to those children who have not been given the possibility to grow in an adequate family environment in their own country.
We support prospective adoptive parents by helping them to increase their self-awareness and develop their parental skills throughout the adoption process and the minor’s integration period.

CHILDREN'S RIGHTS PROMOTION

Through our development education activities we promote what has been set out by the United Nation convention on children’s rights and encourage a cooperation culture aimed at improving the living conditions of children and adolescents. By promoting the culture of adoption we foster the defence of children’s right; we encourage the acceptance of diversity as a positive and enriching value for future parents and their community, in particular school.
